A painter’s paradise, Claude Monet’s gardens at Giverny were of infinitely variable color and form. Seeking a tranquil place to indulge his twin passions of painting and gardening, the master impressionist had moved to the small Normandy village in 1883. Roughly one hundred years later, photographer and horticultural designer Elizabeth Murray helped restore the gardens. She has returned regularly to photograph their ever-changing beauty. Pomegranate also publishes Elizabeth Murray’s book Monet’s Passion: Ideas, Inspiration, and Insights from the Painter’s Gardens (revised edition, 2010).
All of Pomegranate’s calendars are printed with soy-based inks on FSC® certified paper, which means the paper has been certified by the Forest Stewardship Council® and manufactured by an FSC certified printer.
