Aoudla Pudlat: Dancing Birds Boxed Notecard Assortment
$18.95
Birds of Nunavut Territory in northern Canada are highly stylized in the hands of Inuit artist Aoudla Pudlat (1951–2006). His fantastically colored Bird of Baffin is full of spirit, and you can almost hear the Bird of the Ice Floe touch down on its webbed feet. Pudlat was a versatile member of the Cape Dorset artistic community, and he learned to draw birds after beginning his career sculpting. He was also an accomplished lithographer and illustrator. The four images reproduced in this boxed notecard assortment show his affinity for the winged creatures of the North.
