Where Time Beckons the Wicked
, 2011, by Dan May (American)
Dan May’s surreal paintings are filled with mystery and emotion, inviting viewers to create their own narratives. The dreamlike quality of his artwork brings a child’s imagination—and hope—into play in an exploration of the relationship between humans and nature.
May began drawing and painting as a young child and became serious about his art while in high school. He earned a BFA from Syracuse University and has exhibited his paintings in galleries and museums throughout the world, including as part of the 2013 Suggestivism
show at the Acquario Romano in Rome. He now lives in northern Michigan.
