Product Description
The Southwest Museum Opening 1,000-Piece Jigsaw Puzzle
The Southwest Museum Opening, 1986, by David Bradley
Acrylic on canvas, 36 x 48 in.

Familiar imagery and eccentric characters intermingle in David Bradley’s juxtaposition of opulence and tradition in the Southwest art scene. An Indian Mona Lisa stands beside the American Gothic couple, Georgia O’Keeffe (portrayed a la Whistler’s Mother) sits with R. C. Gorman beside a mariachi band, a coyote howls in the corner, and buxom, bejeweled ladies glare down their noses. At the center, the artist poses for a photograph.

Bradley is an enrolled member of the Minnesota Chippewa tribe and received training at the Institute of American Indian Art. The narrative qualities, bright color, and ironic nature of The Southwest Museum Opening make frequent appearances in his work.

Thoughtfully conceived and engagingly intricate, our 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzles combine superb color reproduction, stunning and unusual images, and sturdy construction to delight generations of novice and veteran puzzleworkers.

Caution WARNING: Choking hazard—small parts. Not suitable for children under 3 years.
