The Club’s core activities are public education, grassroots activism, and lobbying for environmental issues. In addition, the Club has a well-developed and influential presence in book and magazine publishing, as well as in adventure travel, with over 20,000 outings per year. Sierra Club also has an extensive inner city outings program serving 15,000 disadvantaged youth and adults annually, and a television and film production company.
