Product Description
Dinosaurs: The Art of Mark Hallett 2018 Wall Calendar
Mark Hallett has been exploring his fascination with prehistoric life as a “paleoartist” for more than forty years. He combines research on prehistoric animal anatomy with his own observations of present-day wildlife to create accurate depictions of prehistoric creatures and ecosystems. His artwork ranges from dinosaurs to ancient mammals and hominids, and has been featured in films, books, magazines, museum exhibits, and art galleries. He was an artistic consultant and helped create the dinosaurs in the movie Jurassic Park, and his paintings are in the permanent collection of the Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History Foundation. He is the illustrator and coauthor of The Sauropod Dinosaurs: Life in the Age of Giants (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2016). Hallett lives in Oregon.
