Whatever beauty is, I feel it, and as long as I can I shall try to find more and more beauty, and to put it down so that others can see what I have seen. —Eyvind Earle Acclaimed California landscape artist Eyvind Earle (1916–2000) landed a job as an assistant sketch artist for United Artists while still in his teens. By the early 1950s he was working as a background painter for Walt Disney Studios, where he contributed to the classic animated feature films Sleeping Beauty and Lady and the Tramp. Concurrently with his work in film and, later, in television and in book and magazine illustration, he was achieving ever greater recognition for his personal work in fine art. From his first New York City solo show in 1938 until his death, Earle exhibited regularly at prestigious galleries and museums across the United States. Contains five each of the following notecards:
