Lady Cockerell (née Florence Kate Kingsford) (British, c. 1871–1949)
Poppy

Lady Cockerell (née Florence Kate Kingsford) was an accomplished painter, calligrapher, and illuminator. In 1905 and 1906 she illustrated the finds of archaeologist Flinders Petrie in Egypt. In 1907 she married Sir Sydney Cockerell, director of the Fitzwilliam Museum from 1908 to 1937. Poppy is from an album of fifty flowers.
